Elementary Phonics is one of my top subjects! Have used Wilson Fundations program, as well as word building activities to teacher phonics.

My approach to teaching is more of a "why" approach. It is more important for students to know why something is or works rather than just how. This approach works well for middle and high school students. It allows students not only to understand the ideas taught but to apply them to other areas as well.
