I am a very easy-going individual; I don't like to push too much but am encouraging. The way I think teaching Italian works best is to make associations with the English language. The two languages are so heavily intertwined, but not at face value. After learning Italian, my knowledge of English is much more profound. Tutoring is very rewarding to me and making a difference in someone's life is important.
While at Wayne State University, I studied Geography, Urban Studies and the Italian language. When I graduated, I held a BA in Geography with minors in Urban Studies and Italian. Teaching children has been part of my life for many years, on many levels. I am currently a full time substitute teacher for Ann Arbor Public Schools. I am 21 years, graduating Alpha Chi in May of 2009 with a bachelors in science. I have great passion for science and have excellent communication skills with students my age and higher. Since my freshman year I have tutored students in math, sociology, biology and environmental science.
