If anyone is looking for a tutor, I would be willing to help. I'm a senior in college studying math and physics. I got a 35 on the math portion of my ACT. I have multiple undergraduate research experiences in mathematics. Both of those research projects have been presented at math conferences. One has been published and the other publication is in progress. I have gotten an A every Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, and Logic course I have taken in college. In high school I was a 4 year veteran in scholastic bowl. I also did math team for 4 years and qualified for state three times. I was a member of Worldwide Youth of Science and Engineering (WYSE) team for three years which included a trip to the state tournament. I have never officially taught, but I have been told by my peers that they believe I would have some skill at it. Mostly, my teaching style would involve working through problems or homework step by step with a student at first, and then once they gain more confidence, allowing them to do more work on their own. Like learning to ride a bike, I believe that almost anything can be taught this way. I would hope to use as much visual aid as possible, and I really enjoy doing hands-on things when a subject calls for it. I want to help the student feel relaxed, but also determined and enthusiastic.

I am a graduate of Western Illinois University, and I am excited to be starting my teaching career. I have earned a bachelor degree in Elementary Education and have received my teaching certificate for Elementary (K-9).
