Hello! My name is Payton and I am currently a student at Illinois State University. I am studying to get my bachelors in Special Education - Learning and Behavior Specialist. I am currently a junior and will be graduating in Spring of 2024. Once I graduate, I will be certified to teach k-12 grade Special Education. As a student-athlete at Illinois State University, I learned many invaluable skills. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Physics as well as minors in both Mathematics and Exercise Science. Earning this degree as well as two minors has allowed me to gain a large amount of knowledge in both science and math. As an undergraduate I majored in English and also completed the secondary education program. I completed my student teaching assignment at a local high school in Colorado Springs and taught remedial English to students who had failed the class at least once prior. I then went to graduate school and earned my MA in English and entered the corporate world of education and training.
