Throughout all of my academic career, I have never been paid for helping other students-my friends-with their homework. Yet, I have still done it when they asked. In high school, I usually helped the struggling athletes, even though I too was an athlete; this continued in college. In sophomore year of college, I was the peer teacher in Stephens Success class, where I helped students with various issues. In speaking of Academics/Subjects I have personally not gotten below a A- since I was in second grade and can tutor in a variety of subjects including English, Math, Biology, and Chemistry. As soon as it was a possibility, I integrated more advanced math courses into my schoolwork. I recently completed my BS in Mathematical Sciences at Westminster College. Since 7th grade, friends ordinarily looked to me for assistance with homework in the math subjects in which they struggled and I often excelled. In addition to helping my fellow students, I completed the high school A+ program, requiring 50 hours of unpaid tutoring. I reached this goal spending one year tutoring a 2nd grade class in their general studies and the other year with a 4th grade class. Now that I have graduated college and no longer have to focus as much on my own studies, I am ready to fully devote myself to the academics of others.

My approach depends on what level of students you are dealing with; and I am good at it. I always have some tactics on how boring subjects catch the student's interest. Teaching your kid doesn't need a genius one but first it does need somebody who has the heart to make them feel that they are special and making them feel that we, parents have confidence with our kids. My teaching style is modeled after the great teachers and professors I have had during my four years of secondary and post-secondary education. I strive for patience and understanding, yet I try to challenge, which I believe can be more rewarding than learning by imitation. I earned by BA in Psychology in 2010, and I consider myself a very well-rounded student.
