I have over seven years of experience in the German language, including a stint of living in Germany for 4 months. I also completed a German Studies minor from NC State. I can help prepare someone for an AP German exam, as I passed with a 4 on my exam in 2010.
I am a laid-back, but persistent teacher who has an arsenal of techniques (which I learned from some of the best German teachers). In addition to using styles that worked for me when I was learning German, I have my own style and have always worked well with middle- and high-schoolers. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a desire to teach and be involved in education. After earning a degree in Broadcasting, I decided to change fields and get into teaching. I earned a CELTA (Certificate in English Teaching to Adults) from Cambridge University in 1999. Upon receiving that certificate I immediately began teaching English to adults. I first worked in an on-site language school environment and then later in a more freelance, corporate environment. After teaching adults for a few years I then began tutoring students in English conversation, grammar, written comprehension and expression and pronunciation.
