Although my current career path has been related to finance and business administration, I have enjoyed teaching since I was a tutor during my high school years. My love and commitment for teaching may be reflected by my pursuit of a MA in Education/Curriculum and Instruction after working several years in the corporate sector. I think that educating our nation's children is the most critical aspect of our society that has been historically marginalized. I enjoy teaching subjects in which I feel comfortable with. I am self confident and positive in the things that I do, and when I tutor I make sure this confidence is transferred to the other person. I am patient and place a lot of emphasis in motivating. I feel that all kids have great potential in different subject areas; unfortunately, many times that potential is not fully developed or developed at all, due to the lack of self confidence or a friendly sincere voice that tells them they can do it.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching because I feel that every student is capable of learning. However, not every student learns in the same way. My greatest strength in tutoring is finding the way your student learns best and teaching them to use those tools to their advantage. I find that confidence is vital to academic success so I not only focus on the subject matter but also spend time building the student's confidence. I am extremely patient and have a sense of humor. Learning can be very boring for some students but it doesn't have to be. My goal is to engage the student and make learning the material fun.
