I returned to school at the age of 47 to get my degree in history. My experience consists of tutoring from 1 - 60 students (in the same hour), teaching at Greenville Technical College, and creating my own tutoring service. I teach in a style that relates to the students current conditions. Each lesson is tailored to bring reality, and importance to their lives while not challenging their autonomy. It is critical to get each student to understand the far reaching importance of historical events, and how they still effect today's atmosphere. My philosophy has always been, "make it interesting and they will learn." However, what is interesting to you and I may not be interesting to the next person.
