A Little Bit About Me...

I'm a Junior at the University of Louisville. I'm a Nursing major, and I plan on working as a Pediatric ER nurse. I love kids! I love watching children and students learn and knowing that I was apart of the process! I'm 21, and live in Simpsonville, Ky. I was raised in south Georgia! I have danced my whole life. I was on the dance team in Georgia back in highschool. I also played soccer and Women's Professional Football. I'm outgoing, and I get along with anybody! I call myself of life because I am always open to learn new things and ideals about the world around us. I have read the bible each year since I was 16 years old and I have taught deaf adults in a church setting. I grew up in Louisville, KY and attended Male High School. I went to DeVry in Columbus, OH to study computer science. In January 89, I went to Eastern Kentucky University to study Retail Mangement.

A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated from Eastern Kentucky University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in elementary education teaching. While earning my degree, I logged over 800 hours inside the elementary classroom teaching and observing the practices of experienced teachers. I have experience teaching pre kindergarten through fifth grade. During my student teaching assignment, I taught, mentored, tutored and created lessons for a kindergarten and fourth grade math/science classes. A Little Bit About Me...

For the past two years, I have been teaching journal-writing and college classes at the Louisville Comprehensive Care MS Center. Prior to that, I have tutored students ages 7-40 in a various set of topics, primarily math and business subjects.
My preferred style of teaching is student-lead. I believe in the Socratic method, but appreciate following a curriculum, as well. I volunteer at a Montessori school and I know that getting learners of all ages interested and excited about a topic is the key to retention.
