Every Child Has The Right To Learn

I'm an undergraduate at the university of Louisville. I major in biology with a minor in spanish . I was on the spanish team in high school, and also received a biology scholarship to the university. I tutor my sister she is in the 7th grade, I help her with math and science. My other sister comes to me when she needs help in math , when there are problems she doesn't understand. I also help people in college who don't quite understand the given material and I break it down and take time to go over it and teach it and a way they might understand.

There are no dumb questions, only ignorant teachers!

I believe in teaching all subjects using innovative methods that are tailored to the specific student. I have taught C++ programming through the use of robots, chemistry with cosmetics, and physics with music. I begin by listening to the student and understanding exactly what level they are at. I then develop a plan of action to get them to the level they need to be at for the grades they want. I don't believe that there is any such thing as a dumb question, only ignorant teachers. As such, my sucess is not based off of how well I explained the subject, but on how well the student understood. I will spend how many hours it takes to equip a student with the knowledge they need to take control of their own success.

As I developed a passion and strong sense toward teaching, I quickly realised that it could be a way of sharing my knowledge with people and get them to understand what their true potentials are.Over the past years, I have been active in tutoring and i have tutored in several fields such as Algebra,Triginometry, Geometry,French,Gre-mat and Act-math.In all these experiences, I had different approaches depending on students' abilities and education level; while tutoring French for example, I preferredtodeal with students in a manner that would allow them to understand first why their want to learn this particular language rather than others. After establishing the importance the importance of choosing to learn French, I would them set a particular calender that could be divided into four sections(understanding, readind, speaking, writing); andduring each section, I would try to built a strong ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

Great Question. I have been in classes where I found learning a challenge. This is what makes me unique as a teacher. I build a relationship with the student. I do my best to not only explain the material, but how they can possibly use it in the future. I also have the best patience. I will go over something over and over again, searching in my own mind for a different to present the material so it sticks.
I have always been a good teacher. I scored very well on the SAT exams, and I have extensive tutoring experience. I scored in the upper 10 percentile on the Mathmatics portion of the SATs. I also have been studying non stop for the CPA exam. I would love to pass on knowledge to someone else. Tutoring is rewarding.
