Drawing is one of my top subjects! I have taught drawing at a foundations level and am a big believer that practice makes perfect. The classes that I taught were structured on a six week increment; line, mass, gradient and general basics. I can teach pencil, charcoal, pastels and ink.

I have over two decades of experience in painting and drawing but in the last three years found an equal love in teaching. I am a master painter who is known for color, concept and surface- both textural and lean layers. I can teach in any medium; Grisaille in both oil an acrylic. I have a strong foundation in old master techniques and an amazing eye for color and composition. I recently finished teaching at the University of Arizona.

I have 5 nephews and a daughter of my own shop I'm great with children. I was an honors grad and I also became a certified nursing assistant before I even graduated high school. I'm great in public speaking and have had many speeches myself with an audience of over one hundred. I do know the main signs as well as the alphabet for sign language because I have a brother and sister whom are deaf. Also I have always been great in mathematics. The method of teaching I prefer is maieutic, i.e., one which draws knowledge from the student, rather than attempts to place it in him/her from without. To me, the process of asking questions and allowing the student's curiosity and intelligence to reach conclusions is far more effective than one-sided lecturing.
