A Little Bit About Me...

I am a “hands-on” type of teacher who likes to get a lot of senses involved in order to enhance student learning. I generally do some initial direct instruction while explaining a new concept, and then I reinforce and assess understanding by doing group projects or activities. Because of my experience with cognitive training, I am also able to use strategies to help students who struggle with memory, attention, and processing.
One of the best compliments that a teacher/tutor can receive is to hear from a parent that their child loves to learn when he used to resent school. Obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree and Middle School endorsement from Faith Baptist Bible College has given me the ability to help others have a passion for learning.
