I have had 22 years total of tutoring experience, worked for six different supplemental educational services tutoring providers, worked for three different online tutoring companies, and have eleven years of experience as an ESL Teacher. I began my (formal) teaching career as a Peace Corps volunteer in the countries of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan where I taught English as a foreign language to the students ranging from the 3rd to the 11th grade, working with the local teachers in the host countries, and gaining valuable cultural and international insights. In 1963-64 I attended the Institute for American Universities in France, and also visited many other countries around the world, all of which increased my interest in languages and social studies. I taught upper elementary classes for 5 years, and after working in many other fields, taught ESOL for12 years as a private tutor, for Berlitz Languages, and for adults in the San Juan District with a specialty in pronunciation.
