I love working with all ages and generally prefer English as a Second Language students, but I enjoy working with everyone. After I received my degree in Elementary Education, I was a substitute teacher in IA for one year. I then worked, taught and advised at a small private college in Iowa. A Little Bit About Me...

In a one-on-one teaching situation, I like to begin with a needs assessment followed by setting up an individualized learning plan with student and parental input. This would include specified milestones and learning objectives. I am patient and organized, and I like to incorporate a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. Learning another language can be fun and rewarding given the right circumstances.
Following five years of teaching high school Spanish, I continued teaching others by volunteering as an English as a Second Language tutor and later transitioning into corporate learning and development where I now design and deliver customized training to adults.
