Government is one of my top subjects!

I prefer to use current real world content as a way to demonstrate historical ideas in an easier context to understand. I believe that students benefit more from this type of instruction because it can put difficult concepts in a way that is easier to relate to.
I recently graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor's of Science in Secondary Education. I student taught at Central High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota from January to May of 2018 and I have years of experience working with upper aged students from my work with the Boy Scouts of America and the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board.

While earning my BA in history, I was able to lean many aspects of history. My studies ranged from the Mild Ages to the 1960s and current. I was also able to intern with the Sherburne County History Center where I learned on the job techniques and how to interact with children. I studied post secondary in high school and graduated in the top ten of my class. I was on the deans list every year of my college career. I was a teachers aid at the University of Minnesota for three years in the anatomy department. I was a the lead embalmer for the University and worked for the Anatomy bequest program. I was licensed in mortuary science in 2007 and have been working as a funeral director and Retail manager for the past three years.
