Ihave taught in Minnesota, Texas and South Korea. I have earned a Bachelor of Science in English Language Arts Secondary Education, and I am currently working on my MA in TESOL. I love teaching because I truly enjoy seeing the light come on when a student gets it. I have had some excellent teachers in my life and have used their techniques to help students I tutor. I understand there is not one specific way to teach a subject and the key is asking questions to find out what will help a particular student. Summary of experience: I have a year of tutoring experience on statistics at St. Cloud State University. I helped create solutions for homework, hold tutor office hours to assist students, grade their homework, and create study materials for exams. I was also an at-risk youth counselor at the Catholic Charities for six months.
Teaching Style I prefer to let students learn according to their style of learning. Fortunately, with my MBA almost completed, I am a master in learning during crunch time. As a tutor, I will first identify the existing learning gaps from the student. Then I would arrange the sequence of the learning objectives, and the time necessary to complete these objectives.
