Have a very creative style when it comes to learning. Make lessons fun so it can set a positive environment for children and allow them to be more comfortable and enthusiastic.
Worked with "At Risk" 8th graders to help get them on a positive path to High School. Instructed forums for the students that provided with the necessary information to have a successful education. I Created Agendas for upstate youth detention facilities to motivate them to return back to school upon release. I am a fall graduate from Troy University and will be graduating with honors. I am currently a peer tutor at Troy in biology and math (algebra). I have tutored privately before in high school math (algebra and geometry. I graduated 9th in my high school with honors earning an advanced diploma with an honor's seal. I love school and love to learn. I will be enrolled in Amridge University in January to pursue my master's degree.
I love to learn and help others to learn. Different people learn differently; therefore, I present material in a number of ways until I discover how the tutee learns. My teaching style follows my personality. I am a hard worker, therefore I expect hard work in return from my students. I have always been described as one who explains concepts in a manner that is easy to understand, and I feel that this is a result of utilizing the "common sense" approach to problem solving. Being from the Union Springs area, I am very interested in helping the local children succeed in school and be positive contributors to their environment.
As a graduate student at the University of Alabama I instructed 3 college level physical geography laboratory sections per semester.
