I have over fifteen years of teaching experience in the areas of mathematics, physics and astronomy. I taught at colleges and universities in the State of Illinois, Big Sandy Community and Technical College located in Prestonsburg; Kentucky, and I taught at Xavier University School of Medicine in Aruba; Dutch Caribbean. I earned a PhD in Physics from The University of Chicago.
I focus on the concepts of mathematics. I use graphical techniques to emphasis the concepts being taught. With these concepts in mind, physics can be a fun and interested to learn.

My comments on tutoring Pre-Calculus : I am a certified high school teacher in Kentucky currently working on my PhD in instruction and administration with emphases in mathematics education and assessment. I have 16 years of high school teaching experience and taught Pre-Calc several times over those years. I also served as math department chair, a mentor teacher, and primary curriculum writer. Experienced Tutor with Expertise in Math and Social Science

My teaching style varies for each student, I try to tailor the work to how the student learns.
I have been tutoring students of all ages since I was in high school. I began by tutoring my own peers in math and social studies. I would also tutor children from 1st grade on up in all subjects. Once in college, I tutored college students and younger in many fields, primarily mathematics courses. Young inexpensive tutor with modernized teaching strategies

I believe that students learn best through hands on activities that allow them to internalize the concepts they are struggling with.
