I spent a year in Spain teaching English to elementary school students through games and interactive methods. I tutored Auburn students during my time there, and have worked with kids of all ages since I was 12. I am fluent in Spanish and highly proficient in French. My travels have taken me throughout Europe and I love to communicate not only language but the cultures that speak those languages as well. My English writing essays have been chosen for scholarships and competitions, and my experiences with foreign languages have deepened my understanding of our own spoken language.

At Birmingham-Southern College, I was the News Editor for the college newspaper for two years. In addition, I have a minor in Journalism. I love to write and I feel that this is one of my strong points. I also tutor two young girls every Wednesday afternoon at Girls, Inc. of Central Alabama.
