Algebra II is one of my top subjects!

Algebra II is one of my top subjects! I worked in an Algebra 2 classroom for one semester while student teaching, and also for a year as a teacher's assistant.

I like to use what the student already knows to prompt them forward into discovering how to complete the problem at hand on their own with guidance. I think this help connects the new material to the material the student already knows, which, in turn, will help them remember and understand it better.
I worked as a tutor in the Math Learning Center at Michigan State University for 3 years, and was also a teaching assistant for a precalculus for a semester while attending MSU. I have just about ten years teaching grades pre-k through eight grade. My comments on tutoring Algebra II : Enjoyable subject.

My method of tutoring is to work with students where they are and add to their skills, to accomplish the final outcome, preferably an "A" or "B." Some students are visual learners and some are informational learners, or some students combine the two. The potential I see in students is what I try to bring out and have them realize they are capable of going a step further, to reach their goal. The importance of education and the students' continuance of same cannot be stressed enough.
