I had two very different teaching experiences in my last semester at ASU. The first was teaching an upper-division psychology course to fellow undergrads. I had a group of 5 students that I was responsible for leading in class discussion, providing feedback on all coursework, as well as any help they needed understanding or applying the concepts. The second was acting as a tutor/mentor for students in an elementary school. I had two students with whom I spent 2 hours after school with twice a week. I planned and created fun, academically-oriented activities for these students that were tailored to meet each of their individual needs and interests. I found both experiences to be extremely rewarding.
