My teaching career has been devoted to helping individual students achieve their potential. I have taught struggling students at all grade levels. As a reading teacher, I diagnosed each student’s strengths and weaknesses. I then tailored instruction to meet each student’s needs. I have also been a Learning Disabilities teacher in a small community. This gave me the experience of teaching a wide variety of subjects to students in elementary through high school. I make use of and and all available tools to help teach. I am easily adaptive and can find field expedient methods useful and successful when necessary. I am generously patient and prefer to teach from the ground up, disallowing missed information or misunderstanding.
