My style involves asking key/critical/opened-ended questions to guide the tutee towards ways of improving his or her writing skills, grammar, and arguments/critical thinking content so that (s)he can write at his or her optimal level.
I intensively studied English Literature at the University of California, Berkeley (whose Literature Program is rated 2nd in the U.S., only behind Yale) and graduated with honors, summa cum laude in 2003. I am a college sophomore at the University of Missouri-Columbia. I am pursuing Bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Art History. My expertise is in English, history, and art, but I also have experience tutoring in French up to high school French III. I received a 35 and 36 on the English and Reading portions of the ACT, respectively. I also received a score of 4 or above on the following AP exams: Art History, English Literature, American Government, Comparative Government, American History, and European History.
I believe that practice makes perfect. I have materials for the above classes and I have been editing papers for people since I was in the 7th grade. As a journalism student, my grammar and punctuation are impeccable. Proofreading is one of my specialties.
