My comments on tutoring World History : I can certainly teach World History at a basic level.

I try to engage my student, to tease the learning out of him or her. I have learned to explain, to give the information then to step back, allowing my student to think through to the conclusion. This involves silence sometimes, and the student talking more while I talk less, something not so easy for a teacher of Italian descent. Experiences has shown, however, that it often works.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked as a student assistant for Dr. Peter F. Biehl (Department of Anthropology, Chair). In this position I have presented lectures and helped others with their projects. I have worked with INSA translating services in which I translated regents exams from russian to english and vice versa. I have also worked as a GRE tutor in math and english.
I have presented lectures and am comfortable in front of others and take a very professional approach to the material. My goal is to not only have the student succeed with the material but to present it in a way that sparks their intellectual curiosities so that they go beyond in learning the material. During my Master's I studied British Literature and was a teaching assistant. During that time I spent two years teaching composition and argumentation at Bowling Green State University to cover college level essay writing which required both classroom and individual tutoring outside of class.
