My comments on tutoring Spelling : I won all the spelling bees and competitions I was in throughout elementary middle and highschool years. Now I tutor spelling. It's my specialty!

My comments on tutoring Spelling : I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and 5th Grade. I am certified K-6th grade. I also taught advanced and Intermediate math and language arts in a GED/HiSet program. I currently teach ESOL/CIVICS for an Adult School.

My comments on tutoring Spelling : I hate finding misspelled words in books!

I have tutored my friend's daughter in math and English. I have assisted her with science and social studies projects. Her ADHD can inhibit the learning process, but we are able to work through the problems. Learning about weighted blankets helped me work with her. She is a kinetic learner. my nieces are both visual learners. I have to adapt to each learning style.
Teaching brings me pleasure. What I do is to show them, help them, then have them do whatever I am teaching them to do. Sometimes one of the steps may have to be repeated, but this process really works well.

My personal style varies on the pupil. These may vary from simply being frustrated with the curriculum to a myriad of influences. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in basic teaching with practice,and feedback. The differeniation of individual learning styles is always taken into consideration.
