I had a wonderful experience attending MSMC.I learned a wide variety of skills and techniques throughout the Psychology teachings as well as about the intriguing study of Psychology itself. There were many opportunities to examine and research philosophies and perform actual research as a team. I had the experience of learning a long side other students, however, I did tutor other fellow classmates at various times throughout my educational career in many venues.
I truly enjoy presenting people with ideas and having them gain the knowledge and capacity to gain the intended results. I have taught and mentored people within my work setting as well. My preference has always been to allow someone to think of ideas after you give them the tools they need; it becomes both productive and rewarding at the same time.

I am patient, caring, sensitive and consistent. I am well versed in all areas of grammar, syntax and composition. I do enjoy helping anyone write a well developed and educated paper on the topic at hand. My specific style of teaching, especially for the 8th grade, is to read the current book being used, and then present my lesson with lecture, interactive discussion and comprehension, based on the age and grade of the student. I like to put the lesson into terms that the age group can relate to, and then assign a memory technique that will teach the students to recall the proper answer by using the examples we have discussed in class. That is the same method that I use myself when I need to write a paper. I read it, analyze it, comprehend it, and then write a paper based on what I can relate it too. This technique is very effective when teaching religion, and I have taught my students to use the same technique when attending academic study.
Upon my decision to return to college and obtain ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching philosophy revolves around the notion that students need respect, encouragement, and guidance to succeed in all of their academic endeavors. I believe the best way to inspire students is by conveying our own passion for the subject through out attitude of reverence for the written word, our knowledge of literature and writing, and our confidence in our own skills as educators. I believe all students can learn to write well when given a relaxed environment where they can learn to express themselves in their own literary voices.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching children of all ages. I believe that all children can learn. We, as teachers, just need to find the right way to reach each of our students as everyone learns in a different way at different speeds. This is why I like tutoring because I can devote one on one attention to the student I am tutoring for the day. I can tutor your child in all areas of the elementary curriculum. I am patient, easygoing and considerate. I want to make a difference in the lives of our children and give them the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.
I am currently a teacher in my local school district. My experience is with students from Pre-k through grade 5. I specialize in children on the autistic spectrum and ADHD. I am currently tutoring a student with ADHD in reading strategies and spelling and decoding strategies for reading.
