I am a recent graduate of the Master in Teaching program at The Evergreen State College. I am a certified teacher in Washington state, endorsed to teach reading, writing, math and science K-8. Through my studies and student teaching experiences, I have worked with primarily first through fifth graders. I believe everyone learns best when the subject matter is interesting and engaging to that student. I have always tried to adapt my curriculum to the interests of my students. For example, I found many little boys felt they hated reading, but with the right books, could actually enjoy the experience. Learning should be fun! Progress of any sort should be rewarded.
