I learned to identify a teachable moment, which is a time at which the student would be most receptive to learning. During this past school year I was a practicum student in a second and third grade self contained 15-1 classroom. This placement gave me the opportunity to teach math, science, and reading to students with learning disabilities and various instructional needs. During student teaching I taught in a fifth grade regular education classroom as well as in a learning workshop.
