After I retired from teaching, I became the accountant for three different firms in Mason City ( an oral surgeon, ready mix company and a road contractor) for eight years. My Husband and I moved to a retirement community in Waukee about four years ago after spending 46 years in the Mason City-Clear Lake area. I returned to the University of Northern Iowa to start working toward a Master Degree in Accounting so I might be able to teach again.
