A Little Bit About Me...

I am a currently a working civil engineer specializing in bridge design (steel and concrete structures). I received scores of 760 in Math on both the SAT I and II, and a score of 800 in Math on the GRE's. I have taken several high level calculus, engineering mathematics, and statistics classes at the University of Delaware, aside from receiving a 5 on both the Calculus and the Statistics AP Exams. I have tutored elementary students in the past, and was part of a 'teaching scientists' after school company briefly in college.

Sometimes small details, such as confusion over algebraic manipulation, can lead to overwhelming confusion. The use of statistical packages is very important, but can be confusing for people who need to get a basic understanding before they use the package.
I received an MS in Statistics in 1985, and I worked for a pharmaceutical company in NJ for a year and a half. After that I stayed home, raising two children. With the children growing up, I returned to school and got a second Master's degree in Applied Math last year. While studying for my latest degree, I did tutoring in Statistics. I tutored University students who needed statistics for their academic work.
