I have a BS from Florida International University and MS from Nova University (all coursework completed earning all A's). Having success in learning has as much to do with attitude as it does understanding and retention. This is the ultimate goal not only for the student, but the Tutor as well! I've worked with children for the past 20 years and know the importance of helping children develop a positive attitude towards learning! I like to teach by example and immersion. So much of what schools preach today is rote memorization, and to a certain degree, this cannot be avoided. But whenever possible, I like to try and find real world applications and demonstrations to get my lessons across to my pupil. Throughout high school and college, I've always excelled in my school work. I was president of the math club and often tutored my peers during my spare time. The University of Florida has provided me with a well rounded education, and I feel myself knowledgable in many areas, from languages like french, spanish and hindi, to the sciences like chemistry, biology, and physics. I'm also very familiar with writing term papers.

I believe that one particular style is not necessarily appropriate for all areas of studies or for students with varying assets and deficits. However, I attempt to have the student as involved and interactive with the learning rocess as can be achieved, and being legally trained, often employ the "Socratic Method"--an exchange of dialogue, which maximizes the student's participation and involvement, and even, on occasion, development of the learning process.
