Reading is one of my top subjects! I love reading. I'm a very avid reader and tend to be able to finish a 500 page novel in less than a day if I'm passionate about the reading material. My boyfriend also has dyslexia when it comes to reading and I helped him conquer his fear of reading and he's improved in his reading abilities a lot.

I believe we can only help those who wish to help themselves. My teaching style is pretty straight forward - to make the child/teenager want to learn. Make the subject matter interesting to them and approach it from their perspective. If you motivate them to make the effort the rest will happen naturally.
I graduated from Washington High in 2006 with my High School Diploma. From there I went to Worwic Community College part time while working full time to pursue an Associates of the Arts in General Studies. This degree was completed in 2010. After that I moved on to Salisbury University to pursue a Bachelor's Degree with a dual major in History and Psychology with Minors in Philosophy and Women's Studies. A Little Bit About Me...

Students of all ages are welcomed in my world...from beginners to the senior citizen who wants to learn more. I strive to make the learning fun and exciting by finding what works for the student as an individual. They are not all alike and because of this, I find that "cookie cutter" style teaching doesn't work. If something doesn't work one way, I try to find another way to achieve the same goal.
