As I have described earlier in my experience I have had many years contributing to the education of my siblings. Helping to make flash cards, and finding ways to cater to their learning types. My younger three siblings are very different, so their learning styles are no exception to this. So being able to not only understand what learning type they are, but taking that and finding new ways for them to learn is not only fulfilling but very enjoyable. Teaching is an art that needs to be perfected based on each individual child’s needs. I am a very demanding teacher, but at the same time always fair and give positive reinforcement while the student is learning and of course, when they have obtained their goals. I teach using a variety of strategies, but feel that hands on learning works best for most students, especially those in a tutoring atmosphere. In 2009 I graduated with a BS in Statistics from Virginia Tech. I also received a minor in Business. Before recently moving to Charlotte, NC I worked as a contracted consultant for a company called Mountaineer Capital LLP in Charleston, WV. I feel this experience along with extensive knowledge of math and sciences makes me capable of teaching others.
I believe that my teaching style is very hands on and easy to follow. I have the ability of simplifying statistical and mathematical procedures into easier, more understandable terms. A Little Bit About Me...

As a UCF graduate and even prior to that I have always helped in the area of homework and study. I have earned a bachelor degree in Psychology and I have started a second bachelor's degree in Forensics. I have obtained many tutoring skills in my various areas of study including math, English, psychology, and science.
I have worked with children since I was 13. I have worked in settings where I was a daycare worker, a nanny, and a substitute teacher. I believe that every child has thier own unique way of learning even though there may be a mainstream way of teaching. My method of teaching varies with the subject. A spanish tutor and a chemistry tutor can go about things quite differently. I like leading students to find answers on their own so that they understand the paths they are taking. That method is especially helpful in hard sciences and math. In the liberal arts (poli-sci, literature, religion, philosophy, etc.) I like to work in the Socratic method. I'll challenge the students on topics and concepts with questions that need some thought. I want them to discuss issues with me, and that allows me to help expand their understanding and discover weak points in their knowledge.
