I obtained a teaching degree in both Latin and History teaching in Utah. Then moved to Texas and taught High School Latin for two years. I learned Latin from Wheelock's Latin text and I am very familiar with it. My High School curriculum used the more modern reading method, specifically the Cambridge Latin Course text. My second year teaching I taught AP Virgil and helped students work their way through large portions of the text and successfully master scansion and other poetic elements.

A Little Bit About Me...

In my current position I am creative, organized, and nurturing. I am a team player and regularly coordinate lessons with faculty in other departments at my grade level. I make class fun and meaningful for my students. I also created a workbook for my students in an effort to revive Latin in the classroom. This book has revolutionized the curriculum and has captured their interest remarkably.
As a 2006 graduate of the University of Maryland, I have both student teaching and full-time teaching experience at the University and 8th grade level. Currently, I am teaching Latin to 8th grade girls at the Bryn Mawr School - an independent K-12 school. My passion and knowledge opened the opportunity to student teach at the University of Maryland during my graduate studies. I continue to serve as an adjunct instructor to this day.
