After graduating from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., I returned to Wyoming to work in politics and government. I have been asked to teach chapters on Government in the local high schools as well as teaching Sunday School classes locally in Cheyenne. I serve in the State Legislature as well as working in the community to help youth succeed in their goals. I try to create a fun learning environment, ensuring the youth can ask questions, have flexibility at their learning speed and still master the material in ways that will stay with them. I utilize several different teaching strategies and attempt to pull strengths from the youth and work with positives. I give examples and direct youth in the direction of the correct answers. I utilize reading and instructing out loud to the class, writing on the board for further and clearer instructions and information, using real life ideas and situations to help explain the lesson (ex. of using microwave and cooking to help explain temperature and gave reminders at the end of class for work completion, assignments and expectations.
