A Little Bit About Me...

I tutor based on the individual's learning needs. I have encountered some that were visual learners ad everything had to be drawn/written out. I have also tutored students that can have me explain it and they grasp it easily. My teaching style changes according to the needs of the student because not every one learns the same. I do believe Accounting is a complex field and the student has to have an interest in the field to truly be successful in retaining what they are taught.
While earning my Masters in Accounting, I voluntarily tutored Undergrad students that were earning their Associates or Bachelors in Accounting. The students were enrolled in the local community college (Central Carolina Tech) as well as the University of South Carolina. I have earned an Associates, Bachelors, and Masters which all have concentration in Accounting.

Identifying these needs by listening to the learner and observing reactions to different problem situations is critical to informing the instructional approach to be taken. Also, understanding the concepts which provide context to the instruction allows the learner to more completely grasp the material presented.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a secondary school teaching certification in Mathematics and earned a master’s degree in Statistics, while supporting myself with a teaching assistantship.
