I have been tutoring since 2012 I have learned a lot from other professional tutors and teachers. I worked at the college I`m currently enrolled in, as a math tutor. I tutored from Algebra to Precalculus to high-level calculus and even higher-level math courses.I also tutored in Math and chess for about a year after wards. As a young man I had several problems with math. It turns out that I was unable to visualize what the equations meant in abstract algebra and calculus. Eventually I was able to relate these concepts to subjects that I found interesting such as music and archaeology. Therefore creating more interest in the subjects that I gravitated to naturally. I believe that I could explain concepts to others in a way that suits their interests. During my tenure in the classroom, I justified that all students can learn and perform above average if given the appropriate environment, and the teacher is in the best position to enact it. I strongly express my passion for what I do, and this has a ripple effect on the students, who in return express passion for their class. When a student is challenged with a physics problem, they feel overwhelmed because they do not understand how to approach the problem. For example, making a sandwich you first use the bread to contain the other ingredients such as the meat, vegetables and condiments. This basic understanding of ingredients on how to make a sandwich is applicable to the atom. An atom is made of protons, electrons and neutrons. This is why I have enjoyed teaching because once one can understand the way in which a student absorbs information, the teacher and or tutor needs to provide the information in that manner.
