I have taught music and guitar since I was 20 years old. I continued to teach guitar throughout college where I double majored in Political Science and Theology and minored in philosophy. Math can be fun, especially when applied to exciting applications. For my work at NASA and the MITRE Corporation I use concepts from Calculus I-II almost everyday. Inspiring students to become excited about math and science is one of my life-long goals. Step by step visual diagrams can be effective tools for describing complex ideas. My approach is to determine the student's weaknesses, and then formulate analogies to explain the difficult concepts.
