A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating college I taught elementary K-8th grade in NYC. I taught for one year and decided to live Paris, France teaching English. I lived in Paris, France for 1.5 years then moved to Rome, Italy, again teaching English. My experiences were wonderful as I met people who really enjoyed learning English and needed it for work. After 6 months I returned to the states and taught at a Junior High School on the Lower eastside of NYC. I left teaching after 10 years to market computers. My skills as an educator served me well and I did extremely well. After approximately 8 years I decided I wanted to go back to teaching, and have been teaching the use of computers. I enjoy teaching children of all ages and adults. I am patient and a good listener and can zoom in on what a child needs help in. My teaching philosophy is focused on teachers being facilitators for students to construct their own knowledge and making learning relevant and purposeful to the students. When teaching, I think about each student's individual learning styles and adapt my lessons to fit those needs. I really try to make learning fun and make sure students understand why they are learning something.
