My comments on tutoring Political Science : Political science was my focus throughout K-12, as well as being my major area of study in college. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in this specialty, and never made below an "A" average. I also have practical experience in this area, having worked at the local and state government levels.

I like to use the Socratic method, mainly by asking questions and challenging assumptions. In addition, I like to engage those I teach, challenging them to think about what they previously have not considered. I believe in building on successes, and offering constructive criticism, where appropriate.
I have mentored various people since 2000, in all types of subjects, including math, science, social sciences, English, writing, literature, and other related subjects. My academic record is very strong, and I believe empowering those I work with every single time. The only pre-requisites are that you have to be willing to learn, and learn how to learn.

I have over 15 years experience teaching advertising, public relations and copywriting as a university adjunct, based on decades of professional background in advertising and journalism. I like observing students and assessing their needs. Then finding fun and instructive materials to assist them with their learning. With ESL students it is very important to find their areas of weakness and fill in the gaps. Every student has different needs. They need to focus on these areas so they can succeed in the regular classroom.

My experience starts as a chemist in the nuclear industry, then proceeding to an environmental professional in the manufacturing industry, and finally as an adjunct professor of law for a distance education university. I have worked primarily in the utility industry, with short periods of employment in the aluminum industry and semiconductor industry.
