I believe that a student should enjoy learning. I had some fantastic teachers who taught me to love learning and I try to emulate these teachers when I work with students. One of the main keys to helping a student enjoy learning is to empower them to learn on their own by helping the student connect with the material at a point of understanding so that they can venture out on their own in whatever direction is of interest to them.
