A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked in the Education field for 9 years. I started off as a substitute teacher and later became a "permanent substitute" in 2002. In this same year, I also became a class monitor for Psycho-Edu with the Johnson Co. School System. These jobs both required me to help teach elementary students in every subject.
My goal as a teacher is to help children appreciate learning and have fun while doing. I beleive that we all learn in different ways and a person should use a learning strategy that works best for them. I am available to help your child succeed academically. I have had much experience working with children of all ages in the Education Field as a Primary Teacher for Head Start and CIS after school program. I know that this is what I have been called to do and I enjoy doing.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a Bachelors degree in PSychology and a Masters degree in Social Work specializing in working with children/families. I have 13 years of experience working with children in the educational and home setting helping to mentor them by providing them with the tools necessary to be academically successful. I have not only counseled students in school but have assisted them in staying on tasks and completing assignments; as well as tutoring in reading, math, spelling, language arts, test taking, etc.
I believe each student is different, therefore their learning style is different. Patience is of utmost importance in working with children, especially in the educational setting.
