As a child growing up, I always knew I wanted to be in a position to help others particularly young children achieved their goals to become productive educated citizens. I worked hard and earned my bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and have 18 years of experience teaching in the public school system. Over a course of years, I have tutored students privately and once was employed with the Sylvan Learning Center here in Dublin. I have also worked with mentally challenged adults to achieved more independence and obtained the different services they are entitled to in order to survived adequately. I obtained my Associates of Science Degree in Biology at Macon State College completing courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Calculus. I then completed my Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology at Valdosta State University. At Valdosta State University, I completed courses such Microbiology, Molecular Genetics of DNA, Animal Physiology, Protein Biochemistry, and Statistics. With these courses came laboratory experience which has allowed me to strengthen my skills in writing laboratory reports. I also have experience in writing essays and research papers.
