I believe every student can get it.

I believe in starting from the beginning and taking one step at a time, and not moving on to the next step until the current one is understood -- a surprisingly uncommon approach. I am very skilled at figuring out what a student isn't getting, and helping them get it, and I believe every student can get it. I am a very relaxed, easygoing person, and don't get stressed or thrown by a non-comprehending student.

IN NEED OF A JOB

I have obtained my GED and have always had straight As in high school. I'm also familiar with construction and building skills. I am a visual learner and will do my best to make the teaching fun. I have also obtained 13 college credits from Kalamazoo valley central college. The 13 credits that I have obtained are in computer skills. The computer skills that I have obtained are those for knowing and understanding how to use Microsoft word and all other programs associated with it.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a substitute teacher for the past three years, I have experiencing teaching nearly every academic subject. I am a published playwright and have sold over fifteen short scripts for religious one-acts to the Nashville-based Belden Street Music Company. My writing and composition skills are particularly strong, my understanding of grammar is excellent and I have worked extensively in high school English/writing classes. I also held a long term substitute assignment in an Air Force Junior ROTC program in which I taught leadership skills and character building. In addition to my BA in theatre, I minored in journalism/mass communication.

through my teaching career I have had numerous workshops and professional Development in all areas in education. I have been able to combine different teaching strategies to fit the needs of my students. In Arizona I taught Fourth Grade where 80% of my studens were English Language Learners of Hispanic decent. This was a real leaning experience. I took the Dibels training which really helped my teaching techniques. I held a sales position for 25 years and possess strong people skills and problem solving and conflict resolution abilities. While enrolled at Davenport University in 2008-2009, I received a 4.0 GPA that included a Training and Development course.
