My comments on tutoring ACT : I homeschooled my children and helped my two oldest study for and do very well on this test.

I excel at identifying each students strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. I can quickly adapt or create lessons as needed. Most of my students look forward to our time together, as we have fun, but get our work done.
I homeschooled my three daughters for 10 years, right through high school. All three have gone on to Colllege and have excelled, making the Dean's list. In the work world, two have been highly praised for their writing skills. After homeschooling, I began tutoring. I have over 5 years experience and have tutored elementary, middle school, high school, and college students, as well as adults preparing for exams such as the GED. A Little Bit About Me...

I received a double major in English and Religion at Presbyterian College. I tutored for three years at Thornwell home for children. I have one year experience working specifically with K5-5th grade. I have two years experience working with multi-grade groups. I am proficient in English as well as moderate in Science and Math, with History being my weakest subject.
I prefer one-on-one teaching. I am a kinesthetic learner but I'm familiar with all learning styles and can manage to teach any.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a liberal arts college graduate, I was educated in multiple subjects, with a focus on the importance of integrating curriculum. I have earned two bachelor degrees, one in Visual Arts and the other in English with Academic Honors. Being an English major, I have learned extensive grammatical skills due to writing and editing four years worth of literary and expository research papers.
