I try to find the teaching style that is going to work for the student. Are they visual? Do they need to touch to learn? Finding out how to teach them and then helping them learn skills for independent study are just as important as the material.

Typing Skills is one of my top subjects!

I attended Rufus King World IB High school in Milwaukee, Wi, one of the most prestigious inner city high schools in the country. I excelled in IB Geography, Chorus, and Theatre. I was one of those kids who never did any homework, but passed my tests. Everyone came to me for help on projects, homework, ect. While in high school, I tutored another student for several months. On the California Achievement Test in Advanced Mathematics my score was 800. This qualified me for the advanced calculus course. In the third year of the course, things changed. We started from scratch, and learned point set topology as the basis for calculus.
