A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style generally varies based on who I am tutoring/teaching. I generally treat my students as adults and under the assumption that they will go to college. I also tend to go a little beyond what is covered in the subject (especially in math) as a preparation for whatever course may come next (i.e. I would probably give a prealgebra student full fledged algebra work in order to prepare him/her for the next year).
I am a sophomore mathematics major at the University of Texas at El Paso. I have taught a GED class for adults facilitated by the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso (HACEP) and the YWCA. My comments on tutoring Algebra II : I always liked algebra.

I started working as a computer programmer. Then I became a computer operator/programmer using a main frame computer. I was in charge of all computer operations and I was also assigned programming projects. I also did a great deal of program testing and documentation. I also worked as a tutor at community college.
I let students asks all the questions they want if for some reason I don't have the answer I will look it up.
