I have earned a bachelors degree in Accounting and Business Management, along with a minor in Economics. I have worked for Northwest Savings Bank for the past 3 years, in many different areas. In my position, I help produce a quarterly report that is given to the department heads and shows the overall financial position of the bank. I also help lenders determine the financial situation of a potential borrower. While in college, I began tutoring 3-4 fellow students in Accounting.

A Little Bit About Me...

As an Honor roll student, a student on the Dean's list I was lucky to have graduated early. I taught six graders through opelia. I have also tutored a master's Student through her Statistics. Currently tutoring a student via online on her Senior Algebra for her Liberal Arts degree. I will hold a BA degree come december of 2010. Where I then plan to student teach and obtain a teaching certification.
I use all the main teaching tools. Both hands on and visually for those students who need different tools. I love to interact with children and adults helping them through their classes to better their future. I also enjoy having a hand in their future success. From working with various types of students, I have learned that not everyone can learn material in the same manner. I myself am able to relearn and understand material very quickly and effectively. It is this skill that has allowed me to help friends, "little brothers," and teammates learn material that was previously a struggle for them. I graduated with my masters in math education in 2008 from SUNY Fredonia. During the school year, I am a substitute teacher. I have taught long-term at various districts in 7th/8th grades, as well as Algebra. Currently I am teaching summer school through a BOCES program, which includes Algebra and Trigonometry. During the school year I have tutored a Geometry student as well.
All students learn in a different way. Primarily, I will try to tutor to that students strengths, but I will include other ways as well. This is to allow the student various opportunities to better expand a topic they struggle with and gain more knowledge on that topic.
