I am an experienced Educator at both the secondary and post secondary levels. While teaching at Puyallup High School I received two awards for excellence for my work with special needs students. I was also responsible for developing a program that was named “Best in State” two years in a row. I have excellent teaching and communications skills. I currently have my California substitute teaching credential. I have worked previously for Placed County Office of Education and Yuba County Office of Education, substitute teaching. I currently work for Paradise Oaks Youth Services as a residential counselor, specifically on the 7 to 3 shift, tutoring the kids to help them complete their individual school program. At Paradise Oaks Youth services I work with emotionally disturbed teenage boys, but as a substitute teacher, I worked K12 and special education. My bachelors degree is in Applied Computer Graphics, and my Masters is in Forensic Psychology (to be completed February 2011). I plan on continuing my education to the doctoral level.

A Little Bit About Me...

Elementary and Secondary Teacher for 27 years, in various subject areas. The last ten years, I was teaching Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II. Experience in basic skills and developed a class in Consumer Mathematics along with other colleagues.
I have taught students using individualized, regular classroom and group setting. My last several years, I taught CPM, developed at UC, Davis; using problem-solving techniques in groups and basic computation skills in Algebra.
