A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with students of all ages. I have taught elementary all the way to college level students. I have taught basic math,algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus and SAT math. I graduated from electrical engineering school. I understand what it takes to bring students up to speed. Over the years I have learned that students did not understand the subject because they did not master the basics. Throughout my life, I have enjoyed and excelled at math and its applications. I graduated summa cum laude from an engineering program at Cal Poly successfully completing significant math coursework through advanced calculus. During the final two years of my undergraduate studies, I tutored university students in a variety of engineering classes, and more recently, I have been tutoring a high-school student in Algebra II with successful results. Tutoring my fellow classmates was an integral part of my college experience. At Yuba College, I tutored math and chemistry in the College Success Center for two school years. I was in demand, as even fellow tutors would seek my help. I was also requested by my physics professor to tutor physics in the Hard Math Cafe on campus. While at UCI, where I graduated Cum Laude with a mathematics degree, I would often help fellow students, even during the professor's office hours when the professor was busy with another student. I remember my first tutor in junior high. He helped me gain an understanding beyond just the numbers and the formulas. From his example, I started tutoring friends as a sophomore in high school. As a student who graduated with honors from Sonoma State University in December of 2009, I was driven to achieve the highest level of excellence in education.
